8.9.2012 – Cowles Mountain

Continuing with my mountain theme for the week I thought I would venture to a hiker’s favorite, Cowles Mountain. Located within Mission Trails Park in an area of East San Diego County known as San Carlos, Cowles Mountain has an elevation of 1,592 feet. It is actually the highest point in San Diego County. Its main hiking trail is one of the most popular in the area and offers a 360 degree view.

San Carlos is located near La Mesa, Santee and San Diego’s, “College Area” where you can find the home of the Aztecs, San Diego State University.

If you are interested in being close to this hiker’s haven, check out available homes for sale in San Carlos at the link below.
