Because of the fact reality shows are taking over the air waves, I know that I am not the only one that watches them. Based in Los Angeles, “Million Dollar Listing” is a reality show that airs on Bravo. The show follows several real estate agents as they find clients their dream homes and negotiate deals in Malibu, Beverly Hills, the Hollywood Hills and elsewhere throughout Los Angeles. Occasionally the agents venture to Orange County and elsewhere, but predominantly they are in Los Angeles County. Bravo also recently added a New York version of the show.

It’s fun to see the different homes, but also to see what goes on during a transaction, not only with the agents, but also the buyers and sellers. I find it interesting and also educational. However, I say that not knowing whether or not it is all a true depiction of the process. It is a reality show, but editors can do whatever they want with the footage, so who knows!
