1.10.2013 – San Francisco Ranking

San Francisco is home of the famous Golden Gate Bridge and a healthy 2013 real estate market!

If you have been following my blog, you have seen me mention Trulia and Trulia.com. It’s a great real estate resource. In keeping with my recent theme of sharing what experts are predicting for the new year in real estate, I found an article by Jed Kolko, the Chief Economist of Trulia.

In his article, Kolko highlights his opinion of the ten healthiest housing markets for 2013. He cites Houston, Texas as the owner of the number one spot. In the number two spot is northern California’s San Francisco!

You can read Kolko’s article in its entirety on the Huffington Post website at the link below.

San Francisco ranked second healthiest housing market for 2013!

1.8.2013 – A Seller’s Market?

For those that have been waiting to buy, you may be in for a surprise when the time comes. Although still largely being referred to as a buyer’s market, I just read a Forbes article suggesting that in 2013, it will actually be a seller’s market in some areas. That is the first time I have read an article talking about our real estate market swaying to the side of the seller, since I started writing this blog in January of 2012. Times are changing!

So, as I have said before, if you have the means, now is the time to buy! You can read the Forbes article in its entirety at the link below.

Will it be a seller’s market in 2013? This and other updates.

2013 could become a seller's market. Kind of like the high priced items on the ice cream truck!

Maybe you do want to buy, but you feel that you can’t, due to limited funds. What do you do in that case, if you want to purchase and take advantage of the buyer’s market that still exists? If you aren’t able to obtain a loan through a traditional bank, consider a hard money loan with Source Capital.

It can be discouraging to keep moving forward when you have weathered through one or more rejections. I, however would like to encourage you! Keep going!

Private lender, Source Capital, looks at the whole picture. Not just a three digit number, also known as your credit store. If you have acquired bad credit, have gone through a bankruptcy, foreclosure, short sale or some other life happening, you still may be eligible for a private money trust deed loan. It’s at least worth a try!

12.29.2012 – Malibu Market 2012

The beauty that is Malibu, California.

2012 has provided many signs of improvement in our economy and the United States’ real estate market. One seems to effect and reflect the status of the other. The price increase on properties in many areas indicates a decrease in supply, which as I have discussed previously is due not only to more sales, but also less foreclosures. Still remaining, is the demand of buyers wanting to purchase. The changing state of supply and demand is causing obvious changes in property prices.

The luxury real estate market in Malibu, California is one area of the country that is reported to have taken an upward swing in 2012. Based on research completed for an article listed at HeraldOnline.com, the Malibu market improved this year. You can read the article in its entirety at the link below.

The luxury Malibu real estate market looking better in 2012.

If you have been thinking of taking advantage of the buyer’s market and possibly the luxury Malibu market, you will, of course need financing. If traditional banks are unable to help you with your real estate needs, consider a trust deed loan from San Diego based, Source Capital Funding, Inc.

This house may not be in Malibu, but I love it!

12.26.2012 – Rising Prices in 2013

Remember when gas prices were this low? One day we'll be saying that about house prices.

Now that we are just days away from the new year, I feel it is time for some reflection and some predictions. The real estate market seemed to be ever changing throughout 2012. Although there are no guarantees of what the new year will bring, according to a CNBC.com article I found on Yahoo! Homes, you can expect prices to rise. Perhaps as much as five to seven percent from 2012. That is quite a jump!

If you have been following this blog, you have heard me reiterate time and time again that the current market status is temporary. If you want to get the most for your dollar, it is recommended that you buy as soon as you can. We have already seen prices rise in 2012. It is expected that they will continue on upward, as predicted in the article at the link below.

Yahoo! Homes and CNBC.com predicts higher home prices for 2013.

2013 may be a happier new year for sellers than buyers, as prices rise.

When you are ready to buy, whether now or in the future, you will of course need financing. If traditional banks are unable to help you with your real estate needs, consider a trust deed loan from San Diego based, Source Capital Funding, Inc.

12.23.2012 – Celebrity Real Estate

Rock stars need a place to call home too.

Have you seen those sections of entertainment magazines that include photos of celebrities buying groceries, taking their kids to school and walking their dogs with statements confirming that they are just like us? Well, here’s another item to add to the list of how celebrities are like us non-celebrities. They buy and sell homes too!

Because of how they are portrayed in the media, sometimes we forget that celebrities are going through every day life happenings, similar to our experiences. Some mundane, some joyous and some stressful. Often their every move is recorded and magnified, which can make celebrities seem almost non-human, or at least super human. In reality, they are people. People that have chosen careers that can cause them and their life choices to be highly publicized.

Below is  a link to an article highlighting what singer Rihanna, actress Jennifer Love Hewitt and photographer Annie Leibovitz are doing in the world of real estate right now.
